Biennial: Multi-coloured flowers resemble miniature pansies but form neater plants and are better able to withstand cold and heat. A very popular plant.

Sowing: Start indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow 3 mm (1/8") deep. Start seeds outdoors in mid-summer for early flowers the next year.

Comments: Excellent in beds, borders, or rockeries. Cover with light mulch in winter.
