Rhus typhina - A sucker-free plant. Good for naturalizing, mass planting, and planting in waster areas etc. Fruit is packed in a crimson pyramidal panicle, turning brown with maturity. Excellent fall colour. Native. They have a shallow root system. They grow approx. 2' per year. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 20-30 minutes whether is rains or not.

Zone 4. 5m W x 3m H. Open, spreading shape. No flowers. Crimson fruit on bright green foliage turning yellow-orange-scarlet in the fall. Full sun to part shade. Adaptable soil. 3Gallon.
