Strawberry 'Honeoye'

Fragaria x ananassa 'Honeoye' - Flavorful, high yielding fruit; one of the best for freezing; watch for the runners that spread; can plant in hanging baskets and containers too; extremely hardy. The berries are most often used in the following ways: fresh eating, baking and preserves. June-bearing.

Zone 4. 18" W x 10" H. Full sun. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 5-10 minutes whether is rains or not.
