Squash Seed Packets - Guatemalan Blue
Days to Harvest: 90. This heirloom banana squash has been grown by South American Indians for over 1500 years. Hard, smooth, slate-gray shelled fruit average 35-40cm (14-16") long with a sweet nutty flavour. Guatemalan blue is a good keeper. This squash can be an aggressive grower so give it room to grow!
Sowing: Sow seed directly outdoors in late May and June when the soil has warmed and the danger of frost has passed. Seed can be started indoors in paper or fibre pots 3 weeks earlier.
Comments: Flesh is almost fibreless, freezes well and is excellent for baking. Fruit averages 2-3kg (4.4-6.6lbs.) in weight.
Approx. 5-10 sds/pkt.
