Spearmint Seed Packets
Perennial herb: Also known as greenmint. Used in tall drinks, mint jelly and sauces. An absolute favourite for mint tea. Grows to 60 cm (24") tall.
Sowing: Sow seeds outdoors in mid to late May, August and September or start indoors and transplant outside when the danger of frost is past. Space seeds 1 cm (1/2") apart and barely cover them in a sunny site with average soil.
Comments: Zones 5-9 hardy. Prefers moist soil. Invasive perennial and should be contained to keep roots from spreading.
