Calluna vulgaris 'Firefly' - In summer the foliage is a bright mix of lime, chartreuse, and primrose yellow highlighted in late summer with spires of bright purple-pink flowers. Is a long-lived evergreen shrub that brings interest to the garden, regardless of the season. They have very shallow root systems and grows at a very slow rate. Prune in spring after flowering is done. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 20-30 minutes whether is rains or not. Plant at least 3-4 feet from any foundation. 

Zone 4. 60cm W x 60cm H. Insignificant fruit. Purple-pink flowers on yellow foliage turning orange-red in the fall. Low spreading habit. Full sun to part shade. Well drained, acid loving soil. 1Gallon.

Attracts pollinators and bees. Deer resistant.
