Annual: Also known as rose mallow. Clear pink flowers shaped like hollyhocks grow on multi-branched plants. Prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade. Grows best in cooler weather.
Sowing: Sow seeds outdoors in early to mid-May, 3 mm (1/8") deep. Thin seedlings to at least 30 cm (12") apart.
Comments: Sturdy, erect flowers are impressive at the back of a border.
