Perennial: Also known as Echinacea. Pretty, long lasting daisy like blooms of light purple with contrasting centres of dark maroon grow on tall, stately plants.
Sowing: Flowers the same year from seed if started indoors January or February. Lightly cover seeds with a sterile medium and germinate at 20-25C (68-75F) for 12-15 days.
Comments: Makes a spectacular display in mass plantings.
