The tall spires of Lupinus are an unforgettable sight in the early summer border. Plants grow best in a deep, rich soil, slightly on the acidic side. All these are biennial or short lived perennials., allow some plants to set seed for future generations. Trim foliage back after flowers are finished. 

A mass of sturdy upright flower spikes that reach up to 24-36”. These spikes reveal periwinkle blue and white flowers.
