Ligularia has bold foliage and vivid flowers either as clustered daisies or in spikes. Perfect in shade or in partial shade, does well at the back of the border or in a woodland garden with regularly moist soil.

Forms a clump of large, jagged-edge leaves. Purplish black stems rose above in summer, bearing long spikes of bright yellow daisy flowers.
