Pepper Seed Packets - Long Red Cayenne


Days to Harvest: 70. This heritage variety produces plants about 75 cm (30") tall with tapered fiery-hot peppers about 13 cm (5") long and 1 cm (1/2") thick. Fruit ripens to a green/crimson red. Ideal for canning, pickling or drying.

Sowing: Start indoors mid-February to late March in soilless medium. Grow seedlings under bright light at 16-21C (70F). Transplant after hardening off in late May.

Comments: Keep evenly watered. Avoid high nitrogen fertilizers. Harvest after colour changes for best taste and quality. SHUnit 40,000.
