Milkweed Seed Packets - Red Swamp

Perennial: Swamp Milkweed is native to Southern Ontario and is a great wetland plant for the edges of ponds or for the garden. Excellent habitat plant for Monarch Butterflies. Pinkish crimson flowers appear on its miniature tree-like form and sturdy trunk from early sowings. Requires full sun and does best in sandy soils. Height up to 60 cm (2').

Sowing: Sow seed early March indoors for late summer flowering the following year. Germinate at 20C for 21-18 days. Direct all sowing outdoors is also effective.
