Perennial: Large showy umbels of brilliant scarlet red flowers sit high above the foliage May through August. Rich green foliage is very fine, almost hair like in appearance.

Sowing: Chill seeds for 24 hours before stating them indoors in early March. Sow 6 mm (1/4") for 21-28 days. Do not cover seed as it needs light to germinate. Sow outdoors in September for bloom the following spring.

Comments: Very popular for borders and cut flowers.
