Lilium Tigre. Tiger Moon
1GALLON POT
Lilium ‘Tiger Moon’ is an Oriental lily that will bloom in high to late summer with spicy, sweet, fragrant blooms of lemon yellow with white edges and maroon speckles. Plant in direct sunlight and well drained soil. Plant 12″ apart and 6″ deep, leave as much of the stem and as many leaves as possible as this will nourish the bulb for next years blooms.
This late summer bloomer will extend your lily flowering season by about two weeks! A real stunner too. Tigermoon is a lovely, tall, fragrant lily, with many shades of yellow on display on every petal. To top things off it’s fairly covered in dark red freckles. We are ‘over the moon’ to have this lily!
Oriental Lilies are the most popular type of lily that we offer, people just can't get enough of them and once you've grown them yourself you'll know why! The flowers themselves can reach 10 in - 25 cm in size and their long lasting blooms make a wonderful cut flower. When planted in groups, their fragrance will fill the garden so be sure to plant a few in well placed containers near the front and back entrances, you'll be glad you did!
Since Oriental Lilies can grow to a height of 4 ft - 120 cm we suggest planting them in sun or partial shade protected from strong winds. Plant them 12 in - 30 cm apart in a rather heavy soil with an ample supply of humus and good drainage. Remove faded flowers and do not cut back stems until autumn. Bulbs should not be lifted but left in the soil to bloom annually for many years.
