Hydrangea Tree 'Little Lime' (PW)
Hydrangea paniculata 'Jane' - Compact and hardy. Fits into any garden. Flowers turn a pink-burgundy in the fall. Blooms on new wood. Hydrangeas have shallow root systems – this means that their roots do not grow deep, but rather broadly, they remain close to the ground surface. They grow about 2' per year. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once or twice a week for about 20-30 minutes whether it rains or not.
Zone 3. 1m W x 80cm-Stem. Patio tree. No fruit. Pink-burgundy flowers on green foliage turning yellow in the fall. Full sun to part shade. Moist, well drained soil.
Attracts pollinators. Not deer resistant.
