Honeysuckle Bush 'Firefly'

Diervilla sessilifolia '1501-11' - The amber coloured foliage gives the appearance of fire, while the bright yellow blooms look like sparks. They have fibrous shallow roots and have a medium growth rate. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once or twice a week for about 10 minutes whether it rains or not.

Zone 3. 60-90cm W x 60-90cm H. Mounded shape. Yellow flowers in June. Insignificant fruit on amber/green foliage turning scarlet in the fall. Full sun. Adaptable soil. 3Gallon.

Attracts pollinators. Not deer resistant.
