Cornus sericea 'Farrow' - A compact, dwarf form and very hardy shrub, ideal for general garden use in northern landscapes; white clustered flowers; intense red stems stand out against the winter snow, excellent for massing; occasional suckering. Shallow root system and has a medium growth rate (1' per year). Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once or twice a week for about 10 minutes whether is rains or not
