DIATOMACEOUS EARTH - FOOD GRADE - 500g
Perma-Guard food-grade fossil shell flour is made from the highest quality freshwater diatomaceous earth. Diatomaceous Earth is a 100% organic and naturally occurring freshwater diatoms that when crushed becomes a highly effective animal feed supplement. Documented benefits of using food grade diatomaceous earth as a feed supplement for livestock and animals include the following:
* Increased general health and appearance
* Accelerated growth/development
* Improved weight gain and feed conversion
* Increased production
* Odor control
Natural silica is part of the foundation of every living cell and the health of every animal is dependent on receiving an adequate supply of silica and other minerals. Diatomaceous earth supplements the animal diet where essential minerals are lacking.
Benefits of using Diatomaceous Earth (natural amorphous silica) as a feed supplement
Increases general animal health and appearance
Silica deficiency has been linked to a broad range of health, performance and appearance problems from lack of coat sheen, to poor calcium utilization, to scours, to arterial disease. Clinical and observation trials conducted in many countries have recorded strikingly similar conclusions. When silica was used as a regular feed supplement animal health and appearance improved, production increased, infant mortality decreased, tumours and cysts disappeared, scours was virtually non-existent and problems that were endemic and unresponsive to traditional, chemical and medical treatments were cured and/or controlled and vet bills were significantly reduced. The silica in the feed supplement also binds to heavy metals, other toxic build-ups and poisonous sediments and expels it from the animals body.
The product contains 100% freshwater diatomaceous earth and is OMRI certified.
Our Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is Pure Freshwater Diatomaceous Earth. It is of the highest quality available, being greater than 99.5% amorphous silica and less than 1/2% crystalline silica.
Diatomaceous Earth in Agriculture
When coupled with the correct technology, diatomaceous earth or natural amorphous silica can have a significant beneficial impact on the physical, chemical and biological processes of soil, water and the growth of crops. The agricultural practices of today have destroyed the vital balance of the soil system and the ability of the soil-plant system to function effectively. Silica is vital for an effective soil-plant system but has been critically deficient in agriculture for decades and this has led to a number of negative consequences. The lack of high grade amorphous silica has a massive effect on circumstances directly relevant to food production such as the amount of fertilizer required for maximum production, crop resistance to a-biotic stresses (temperature, water deficiency, wind, salt, heavy metals, hydrocarbons etc).
Usage:
Adults: take one heaping teaspoon once per day for the first 2 weeks of asking the product. After 2 weeks increase the amount to one heaping tablespoon. Mix the appropriate amount into water, juice or smoothies and consume on an empty stomach.
