Cucumber Seed Packets - Lemon

Days to Harvest: 65. The fruit of this heritage variety is the size and colour of a lemon. Its mild, crunchy, white flesh and non-bitter skin have a unique sweet taste. This heavy yielder is perfect for slicing, pickling or eating straight off the vine.

Sowing: Start seeds indoors in fibre pots 4-6 weeks early. Do not plant out before early June to avoid cool nights and blossom end drop. Sow directly outdoors after soil has warmed to minimum 18C (65F). Wind-sheltered site with rich, warm sandy loam preferred.

Comments: Cucumbers are shallow rooted and need a consistent, even supply of water.
