Cotoneaster 'Coral Beauty'
Cotoneaster dammeri 'Coral Beauty' - Works well as a ground cover, mass planting or shrub border. Good for holding banks and slopes. Semi-evergreen. Less mature cotoneaster plants have shallow but wide spreading root systems. Some have branches that grow low to the ground that can also form roots where they touch the soil, in a process called 'layering'. Long established cotoneaster plants will have deeper, more extensive root systems. It grows at a fast rate. Prune in spring after flowering is done. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 20-30 minutes whether is rains or not. Plant at least 3-4 feet from any foundation.
Zone 4. 2m W x 50cm H. Coral-red berries with white flowers on glossy green foliage. Low spreading form. Full sun to part shade. Well drained soil. 3Gallon.
Attracts all pollinators. Deer resistant.
