Cotoneaster acutifolius - Peking Cotoneaster - Very drought tolerant. Makes an excellent hedge plant. It has nice fall colour. They form shallow roots. They grow about 12-18" per year. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once or twice a week for about 10 minutes whether it rains or not.

Zone 2. 2m W x 3m H. Upright, spreading shape. Pink flowers in June. Black fruit on dark green foliage turning yellow-red in the fall. Full sun to part shade. Adaptable soil. 1Gallon.

Attracts butterflies. Deer resistant.
