It requires at least six hours of direct sunlight. Indoors the plant may need to be moved throughout the day to chase the sun.
Coconut palms require high humidity.
Like most plants that love warmth and humidity, the coconut palm is a thirsty plant. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy.
