Vaccinium angustifolium - A low, straggling shrub, usually 6 in. to 2 ft. tall and wide. Multiple stems; twiggy branches. Glossy foliage turns from red-green in spring to dark blue-green in summer to maroon-purple in fall. Small, white, pink-tinged, bell-shaped flowers are followed by edible blue fruit. Prune in spring. Blueberry plants have shallow root systems. Self-fertile but does better with a pollinator. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 10-15 minutes whether is rains or not. Plant at least 3-4 feet from any foundation.

Zone 3. 6" W x 24" H. Full sun. Harvest in July. Fruit is dark blue. Acidic, well drained soil. Berries are a sweet flavour and are on the softer side. White bell-shaped flowers with shell pink overtones mid spring. Glossy green foliage turns orange in the fall. Berries are used for fresh eating, cooking, baking, preserves, and canning. 3Gallon.
