FEATURES
Rudbeckia breeding has come a long way since the introduction of ‘Goldsturm’ in 1937. If you still like the look of this broad-leaved cultivar but need a stronger performer for landscapes, consider the new Mega Millions™ Rudbeckia. Its habit is similar but it is an absolute blooming machine. In the breeder’s trials, one 3 year old Mega Millions plant produced over 1,000 more flowers than a 7 year old plant of ‘Goldsturm’ in a single season. Vernalization will help to bulk up the plants and flowering but is not required. Its broad, deep green leaves also stay cleaner due to better resistance to Septoria leaf spot. Mega Millions will stay where you plant it, so there won’t be any nuisance seedlings popping up all over the garden. It’s time to make the switch to these new and exceptionally improved genetics.

Maintenance Notes:This tough, long lived perennial is one of the most reliable plants you can grow. It loves heat and humidity, but will thrive in milder climates as well. Mega Millions can tolerate a wide range of soil and water conditions, although moist soil is ideal. It will also do well in suboptimal water and soil conditions.
