Viburnum Arrowwood ‘Blue Muffin’ (PW)
Viburnum dentatum ‘Christom’ - Ideal in use as a hedge or as a specimen planting. The blue fruit will appear when another cultivar is planted nearby. Viburnums have a shallow root system of 18" but can go deeper with a regular watering schedule. Water deeply once a week for about 20-30 min. They can grow 1 - 2 feet per year. Prune in spring after it's done flowering. Plant 4' away from any foundation. Use Bone Meal when you first plant and don't fertilize for the first year. Fertilize once a year in spring with a balanced water-soluble fertilizer. Don't plant any deeper than what they are in the pot and don't add any more soil or mulch around the base of the stem.
Zone 4. 1.5-2m W x 1.5-2m H. Shape. White flowers in June. Blue fruit on green foliage turning red-purple in the fall. Full sun to part shade. Moist, well drained soil.
Attracts birds and pollinators. Deer resistant.
