Juniper 'Green Carpet'

Juniperus communis 'Green Carpet' - An excellent ground cover that emerges with bright green foliage that matures to a dark green. Low maintenance.

Zone 3. 90cm W x 10cm H. Insignificant fruit with an insignificant flower. Low/spreading shape on green foliage. Full sun to part shade. Dry conditions. Grows about 6-9" per year. Shallow vase-shaped growth habit. It produces blue berries from late spring to late winter. Prune in June. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 20-30 minutes whether is rains or not. Plant at least 3-4 feet from any foundation. 

Does not attract pollinators. It is pollinated by the wind. Deer resistant.
