Honeysuckle ‘Goldflame’

Lonicera x heckrottii ‘Goldflame’ - Woody shrub with twining branches. Does not need support. Flowers are red on the outside and yellow inside. Very fragrant. Prune in spring. They have a shallow root system going 6-12" but can reach 40" inches on a dry site. They are fast growing. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 10 minutes whether is rains or not. Plant at least 3-4 feet from any foundation.

Zone 4. 5m. Climbing form. Green foliage with red/yellow flowers June-Sept. Full sun to part shade. Fertile and moist soil. 1Gallon.

Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant.
