False Cypress 'Sunproof Golden Threadleaf'
Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Filifera Aurea Nana' - A golden branched dwarf conifer. Excellent for rock gardens. Good winter colour. Cypress roots do not grow very deep into the ground, hence less damage to foundations. Despite the shallow roots, the tree is well tolerant of windstorms and heavy winds. They grow around 6-8" per year. Prune in June. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 20-30 minutes whether is rains or not. Plant at least 3-4 feet from any foundation.
Zone 4. 1m x 80cm. Cone shaped fruit with an insignificant flower. Mounding shape with golden foliage. Full sun. Moist loam. 3Gallon.
