Malus 'Coralburst' -  A round and compact crabapple that is sure to draw attention. Single-pink flowers bloom before the leaves. Small narrow leaves emerge in the summer, and are promptly followed by small bronze crabapples. The Coralburst variety is extremely tolerant to urban pollution and dry-er soil conditions. 3/5" size fruit. Not edible. Crabapples are not known to have invasive root systems. As with all trees, a tree's root system grows horizontally as opposed to vertically as most nutrients are found in the uppermost layers of soil. They have a moderate growth rate of 12 to 24 inches per year, and a 5-gallon potted tree may take three to five years or even longer before it flowers heavily. Prune in spring after it's finished flowering. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 20-30 minutes whether is rains or not. Plant at least 3-4 feet from any foundation.

Zone 4. 3-4m W x 3-4m H. Upright round form with pink flowers. Bronze fruit on dark green foliage turning an insignificant fall colour. Full sun. Moist, well drained, acidic soil.

Attracts pollinators. Not deer resistant.
