Hamamelis virginiana - A native shrub, flowering in late September with good fall colour. Can be used for naturalizing or in shrub borders. Shallow, slow growing roots. Grows 12-24" per year. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once or twice a week for about 10 minutes whether is rains or not.
Zone 4. 6m W x 8m H. Upright, open shape. Yellow flowers in September. Capsule flowers on green foliage turning yellow in the fall. Full sun to full shade. Adaptable soil. 3Gallon.
Attracts bees. Deer resistant.
