The Conaco Yellow Mum (Chrysanthemum x morifolium) is a highly popular variety of Belgian Mum celebrated for its perfect spherical growth habit and massive abundance of rich, large yellow flowers.
Key Characteristics
  • Appearance: Forms a compact, exceptionally round mound loaded down the sides with large, bright yellow double blossoms.
  • Bloom Time: Typically flowers in the mid-fall season (around mid-September to mid-October).
  • Performance: It features excellent colour retention, a long shelf life, and high resistance to splitting or weather damage.
Companion Varieties
Conaco Yellow is part of a coordinated series designed by breeders to bloom simultaneously, making them perfect for uniform multi-colour "matrix" pots:
  • Conaco Gold: Offers slightly deeper, sunlit golden-yellow flowers.
  • Conaco Orange: Features brilliant copper-orange blooms with rich centers.
Quick Care Guide
  • Light: Requires full sun (6+ hours daily) for maximum bloom density.
  • Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but well-drained; avoid overhead watering to protect the flower faces.
  • Hardiness: Grown as a fall annual in cooler zones, or a hardy perennial in USDA Zones 5–9
