One of the showiest of the grasses. Large or short, it is grown for its vertical or mounding habit and showy, fluffy flower penticules that are striking in late summer and fall. Fond of moist sites.

HURON STAR

Compared to the other older cultivar ‘Silberfeder’ this grass is smaller with a few notable improvements such as a stronger and more upright habit, purple flowering stems, and brighter fall colour. In the fall foliage turns colourful shades of red, orange, burgundy and gold.
