Sowing: Challenging seed to grow. Sow 6 mm deep, directly outdoors late fall or cold stratify scarified seed into a sterile, moistened peat moss based potting soil.

Comments: Prefers slightly acidic soils. Seed propagated trees are shade tolerant.
