Days to Harvest: 45. Large, thick, savoyed leaves of deep purplish-red highlighted by a white mid-rib are both delicious and highly ornamental. Leaves with their enticing mustard pungency are delicious in mixed salads or combined with chicken dishes or for pickling or juicing. Gian Red Mustard can reach 60cm (24") in height.

Sowing: Sow seeds every two weeks in a fertile, moist but well draining soil from late April through to early June and again from late August through mid September.

Comments: This plant is suitable for use in large containers and is often used as an edible ornamental in the garden. Plants possess decent cold tolerance.
