Annual: Hourglass shaped fruit frows on vines, and can be trained to grow on a trellis or fence for cleaner fruit. Dry out inedible fruit for indoor decoration.
Sowing: Sow seeds outdoors in early June, 6-13 mm (1/4-1/2") deep. Can be started indoors in paper or fibre pots 4-6 weeks earlier. Sow 8 seeds per hill at 2 m (7') intervals.
Comments: Makes a unique birdhouse or table decoration. Harvest carefully before first frost. Bruising encourages rot.
