Annual: A mix of cream and green fruits with pointed tips resembling the biblical "Crown of Thorns". Grows on vines, which can be trained to grow on a trellis or fence. Inedible fruits are dried and used for indoor decoration.
Sowing: Sow seed outdoors in early June, 6-13 mm (1/4-1/2") deep. Can be started indoors in paper or fibre pots 4-6 weeks earlier.
Comments: Harvest carefully before first frost. Bruising encourages rot. Glaze clean, dry gourds with floor wax to help preserve the skin,
