$2.99

Perennials: This heat loving compact growing perennial produces  impressive crimson red blooms with darker red centres. Sometimes flower petals are highlighted by small yellow tips. Well branched uniform plants are ideal for use in borders or containers.

Sowing: Sow seed directly in the garden anytime from early May to August - do not cover seed as light aids germination. When seedlings are 5 cm (2") in height thin to 25 cm (10") apart. For earlier flowering sow indoors in April. Germination normally takes 14-21 days at 20-25C (68-78F). After germination, grow under lights at 18C (65F). Harden off seedlings then plant outside after the danger of frost has passed.

Comments: For best results, plant in full sun. Do not overwater.
