Annual Herb: Bulbous base has a flavour similar to anise. Superb raw in salads or cooked in chicken dishes. Grows to 75 cm (30") tall.
Sowing: Sow seeds outdoors in mid to late May or start them inside and transplant after the danger of frost is passed. Space 2.5 cm (1") apart and sow 3 mm (1/8") deep in a sunny site with average soil.
Comments: Blanch bulb by gradually earthing up base of plant.
