Days to Harvest: 110. This culinary spice is used extensively in Middle Eastern and Indian cooking. Plants grow to 45 cm (20") high with pink to white flowers.

Sowing: Start seed indoors 4 weeks before the last frost date. Sow seed 8mm (1/3") deep in a soilless medium. Harden off and transplant outside in a sunny site with well drained fertile soil after the danger of frost has passed.

Comments: Cumin ripens unevenly. Let seed heads dry on the plant then harvest individual plants and break open pods to release seed.
