Days to Harvest: 50. This gynoecious hybrid is one of the earliest maturing slicers available. Look for large yields of crisp extremely straight fruits up to 20cm (8") long. With its appealing smooth, deep green skin and excellent flavour, Raider is a favourite of northern growers!

Sowing: Sow outdoors in hills 1 1/2m (5') apart, 6 seeds per hill after the danger of frost has passed. Seed can be started indoors in plantable paper pots 4 weeks before the last frost date.

Comments: This variety is Scab resistant and tolerant to Mosaic Virus. Well rotted manure or compost dug into the soil before planting is beneficial.
