Days to Harvest: 100. Crisp stalks 45-50 cm (18-20"). Both stems and heart are tender and delicious. Excellent raw or cooked. Ideal for salads.

Sowing: Start seeds indoors 10-12 weeks before last frost date. Germinates in 2-3 weeks. Transplant when soil has warmed and night temperatures have moderated.

Comments: Blanch stalks by gradually earthing up stems when they are roughly 30 cm (12") high.
