Carrot Seed Tape - Red Cored Chantenay

Days to Harvest: 72. One of our most popular storage varieties. Orange-scarlet roots are smooth, even-shaped, full of essential vitamins and they are an excellent source of dietary fibre. These meaty carrots average 15 cm (6") long and 2.5 cm (1") thick with a juicy, sweet taste. A good choice for heavier soils.

Planting: Any good garden soil with full sun will grow carrots. A loose crumbly soil with good moisture holding capacity is best. Carrots are very cold hardy and can be started early outdoors when the first leaves of spring bulbs appear. Replant every 20-40 days during the growing season.
