Days to Harvest: 65. This heritage variety is an excellent yielding carrot that is great for canning and storing. Roots have a deep orange flesh, are 15-20 cm (6-8”) long and taper uniformly to a blunt point.

Sowing: Mix seeds with sand or vermiculite and make several weekly showings in open, well cultivated, deep garden soil from early spring once soil has warmed to 7C (45F). Keep seedbed evenly moist during 2-3 week germination period.

Comments: Cover the seedbed with burlap to prevent surface crusting. Remove as soon as sprouts start to emerge.
