Beet Seed Packets - Cylindra

Days to Harvest: 80. Smooth dark red 16 cm (6 1/2”) long cylindrical beets. Sweet tasting roots are excellent keepers and are perfect for slicing. Cylindra cooks well when young but retains flavour when larger.

Sowing: Plant early spring or later in summer for fall crops. Rich, moist, sandy loam is best.

Comments: When tops are 15 cm (6”) tall, pull some for greens and continue until roots are about 7 cm (3”) apart.
