Basil Seed Packets - Dark Opal

Annual Herb: This former A.A.S. winner with its fine flavour and aroma is excellent for seasoning or for use in vinegars. Grows to 60cm (24") tall.

Sowing: Sow seeds outdoors in late May to early June or start them inside and transplant after danger of frost is passed.  Space 6mm (1/4") apart and sow 3mm (1/8") deep in a sunny site with average soil.

Comments: Lush purplish-bronze foliage is also stunning as an ornamental plant.  However, a small proportion of the leaves will turn green.
