Alpine Strawberry Seed Packets - Mignonette

A French delicacy, Mignonette alpine strawberry produces bright red, deliciously perfect little fruits the first summer from seed.

Sowing: A cold stratification is required. Sow seed in pots or trays keeping a soil temperature of 18-24C. Germination can be slow taking anywhere from 10 days to 6 weeks. Grow on at slightly cooler temperatures and provide air circulation to prevent damping off. Transplant to the garden after danger of frost and space 20 cm apart.

Comments: Compact, perennial plants grow in pretty, leafy mounds and are perfect for hanging baskets or the garden.
