Blueberry ‘Duke’

Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Duke’ - Most widely planted, early ripening, late-blooming cultivar. Consistently produces firm, attractive, high quality, medium-large berries. Self fertile but does better with a pollinator.

Zone 4. 150cmH x 150cmW. Blue fruit. Harvest in July. Full sun. Prune in spring. Prune in spring. Blueberries have shallow roots. Acidic soil. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 5-10 minutes whether is rains or not.
