Apple 'Sweet Sixteen'

Malus 'Sweet Sixteen' - Flesh is sweet, crisp and juicy with an unusual aromatic flavour. Fire blight resistant. A cross between MN447 and Northern Spy. Semi-Dwarf.

Zone 3. Blooms in May. Harvest in Sept. Medium Red-green fruit. Used for desserts and pies. Full sun. Pollinates with Haralred, Haralson, Sweet Goodland, and Dolgo Crabapple. 12'-15'H. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 20-30 minutes whether is rains or not.
