Weigela florida Spilled Wine ('Bokraspiwi') - Spilled Wine Weigela (PW) - This weigela has wonderful burgundy foliage and hot pink flowers. It is wider than it is taller making it a great addition to the front of a sunny garden. Weigela's have a shallow root system of 12". They will reach their max height in just a few seasons. Prune in spring after it's done flowering. Plant 4' away from any foundation. Water deeply once a week for 20-30 min. Use Bone Meal when you first plant and don't fertilize for the first two years. Fertilize once a year in spring with a balanced fertilizer.

Zone 4. 1m W x 60cm H. Rounded shape. Hot pink flowers in May and June. Insignificant fruit on burgundy foliage turning an insignificant colour in the fall. Full sun. Adaptable soil. 3Gallon.

    Maintenance Notes: 

    Prefers well-drained soils but is extremely adaptable to other soil types. Pruning is best done immediately after flowering; little pruning is needed. Medium moisture. Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application.
