Spirea 'Neon Flash'
Spiraea japonica 'Neon Flash' - A compact, spreading garden shrub featuring showy flat-topped clusters of bright red flowers over deep green foliage; red leaves to tips; ideal as a compact color accent shrub in the garden; beautiful in groupings. Grows up to 1-2' per year. Prune in spring. Use Bone Meal when you first plant. Do not fertilize the first year. Fertilize once a year with a balanced granular fertilizer. Do not plant any deeper than it is in the pot. Do not add any soil or mulch around the base of the stem. Water deeply once a week for about 20-30 minutes whether is rains or not. Roots go about 30" deep.
Zone 3. 60cm W x 60cm H. Rounded shape. Red flowers in May and June. Insignificant fruit colour on dark green foliage turning coppery-bronze in the fall. Full sun. Well drained soil. 3Gallon.
Attracts pollinators. Deer resistant.
